CIO for the Office of the Secretary
Mr. Clark is currently responsible for IT support to the programs and staff of the Office of the Secretary, and for oversight and security of 40 OST information systems. Prior to joining OST, he was the CIO for the Corporation for National and Community Service, a small independent Federal agency and was Co-Chair of the Small Agency CIO Council. Mr. Clark has also served as the Program Manager for the Government-wide Grants.gov web site, and as the IT Capital Planning Officer for the Department of Health and Human Services-wide IT portfolio of systems. He spent many years in IT management in the Department of Defense and as a consultant in IT management and acquisition reform. Interspersed within Mr. Clark's government career have been two periods as the president of mid-size companies in the private sector. He is a graduate of the DoD Defense Systems Management College Program Manager Course for managers of major weapon system acquisitions, and he holds a Masters of Business Administration in International Business. Mr. Clark is married and has two children.
